Taiga (1994) is a freelance designer who works from home, running a small business selling his own painting-by-number kits and occasionally his photographs. "I swear, this kit will be my best one yet," Taiga says, adjusting a painting with focused determination. As an introvert, he enjoys the quiet of his home office, a place where creativity flows. His partner, Hokuto (1995) is a librarian who’s really good at keeping the house in order.
"You’ve already made a mess in here, haven’t you?" Hokuto teases with a smile, finding a stack of art supplies scattered on the living room table. He may be an introvert too, but he’s always the voice of reason, his calm presence balancing out the little chaos of their home. "I’ve got dinner ready. You might want to clean up before you start on that next painting."
Miyu, the older twin, is a deep thinker with her nose often buried in a book. “An' den... bunny go zooooom! Inna wain... bowww!” she explains, holding up a book upside down while narrating her own version of the story. She loves dramatic storytelling and has a tendency to take charge, much to her younger brother’s annoyance. “Miyu no boss me!” Shouta protests, his hands on his hips as he glares at her, a teasing grin on his face. She’s very close to Hokuto, who reads to her every night.
Shouta, on the other hand, shares Taiga’s love for desserts (though he can be a bit stingy with them). “Noo! Mine. Cookies,” he says, holding a cookie close to his chest, his eyes darting toward Taiga, who’s already reaching for another. He’s more attached to Taiga and is often sneaking extra treats or making a mess in the kitchen. His infectious energy and competitive streak with Miyu make for some fun, sibling rivalry moments. “You slow! I zoom!” he announces, taking off on a run as Miyu follows with an exasperated sigh.
The family is also joined by their Turkish Angora cat, Mochi, also known as Fuwachi because of her soft, fluffy fur. Mochi is usually found napping in cozy spots, observing the family’s chaos with a calm demeanor. But every now and then, she’s up to something. Today, she’s by the kitchen, her tail flicking back and forth as she watches Taiga and Shouta with great interest. “Mochi, are you hungry?” Taiga asks, noticing the cat’s intense gaze. In response, Mochi gives her tail a gentle swish and then stretches, as if to say, “Well, I wouldn’t mind something”. She has a mischievous side too, often sneaking into places she shouldn’t be, like the grocery bag. And when no one’s looking, she’s not above stealing a snack.
The twins adore Mochi, often including her in their adventures. “Fuwachi, come 'ventuwe!” Miyu calls, waving a sparkly shoelace like a magic wand. Mochi blinks slowly, then pounces, just enough to play along before curling back up in a sunny spot.
Together, Taiga, Hokuto, and their twins form a family that balances warmth, creativity, and a bit of playful chaos.

Hokuto: "...Putting all the snacks on one shelf doesn't count."
Taiga: "But now I always know where the cookies are."
Hokuto: "So does Shouta. We’re doomed."
